Timberlake and Biel were spotted in up-market Jewelry store, “Eli Halali,” this weekend – apparently shopping for a weeding band. The Antique Jewelers in Mott Street, SoHo (NY) carries a wide range of rather expensive rings, including many antique and ancient ones, and is well known for selling to the stars.

We understand that the wedding is in August and is probably going to take place at a so-far undisclosed venue in Italy. It is probably going to be a big wedding,  given the personalities involved.

The couple became engaged in January, and immediately made the news. This is ABC news coverage,  although I think the demolished beach house was more interesting.

A while back I got the chance to meet a famous actress who is well-known for her beauty (she will remain nameless for this article). From far away, she looked absolutely gorgeous as photographers snapped her photo. I didn’t think I would get a chance to see her up close because there are so many people crowded around her. But luckily there was a break in the action and I finally got my chance to ask for an autograph. As I stood and chatted with her for a few minutes, I noticed that she had a few noticeable imperfections on her face. Obviously she was still gorgeous, but that’s when it dawned on me that she was human just like everyone else. I was so used to seeing her photo-shopped on magazine covers or perfectly lighted in movies.

This experience highlighted the danger of holding celebrities up to an ideal or something to strive for. In many cases, it’s a goal that you can’t achieve. You don’t have the benefit of teams of experts hired to specifically hide your skin problems. And when you see these celebrities in real life, you realize that all that technology can’t help in real life. Sometimes you’re just going to have to go through a rough patch of oily skin or noticeable blackheads.

Of course celebrities have more access to different types of procedures and medications in order to keep a healthy face. But some of these can be abused when people aren’t careful. For example, you might have been tempted to utilize a particularly powerful cream designed for fewer pimples. But imagine if you have all of these things at your disposal. They are incredibly easy to abuse which is what happens with plastic surgery all the time. So instead of feeling jealous that you don’t have the money or resources of a celebrity, it’s important to appreciate who you are and your own situation. You’re not as bad off as you might think, and there are definitely options to improve the look of your skin.

Paparazzi is in actuality an Italian term.  It refers to photographic journalists who specialize in taking candid pictures of celebrities, politicians and other rich and famous people.  They tend to work independently and get paid for how valuable and rare their photographs are.  If they happen to catch someone doing something shocking, well, the price of this photograph can sometimes go “through the roof”.  As such, it is easy to see why many celebrities consider them great pests and annoyances.

Altercations with paparazzi tend to make front page news.  You may recall the incident where Leonardo DiCaprio was talking on his cell phone when he shoved the camera of a paparazzi who happened to venture too close.  Do you recall the incident where Miley Cyrus was getting groceries when the paparazzi allegedly pushed her mother?  An argument soon started as you can well imagine.

Being independent contractors if you will, paparazzi often require the best of photographic equipment.  Take the D7000 Nikon equipped with a telescopic lens to get those far away shots.  A tripod comes in handy in these situations as well.  The steadier the camera is the better the picture…and generally the more dollars you can make from it.

We’re not sure where all this is taking us as we boldly look into the future.  There is a need for privacy for famous people to be sure, but it can also be said that those who are in the public eye have often sought out this attention to get their careers off and running.  Balance is probably the solution to this problem…but human beings are not big on being balanced don’t you think?
